Question Not able to use USB C hub for HDMI port

Hi

I've ASUS Vivobook 15 X509 i5 edition. I want to connect two monitors with my laptop. I have connected one with HDMI port at the laptop. For other I am thinking of connecting through USB C type hub. I have tried to connect using multiple usb c type hub. But none of them are working for HDMI or VGA port. All of them are working as normal usb connection. On device manager it shows as driver not found when I connect HDMI cable to USB type C hub. I am getting the same error with other USB Type C hub. I have tried many Type C hub I am not getting anywhere

I search it online, and what I understand is that I need alt mode on. I am unable to find where to check it.

On the laptops official website, it mentions that it has USB Type C Gen 3.1 port

Can you please help me how to connect using USB Type C hub?

your laptop doesnt have physicaly connected usb c with gpu, so hmdi hubs wont work with it, u can only use it as data port

USB Type C ports don't all have video output, it depends on each specific computer model.
