Not All Memory Usable?

So I just installed W7 64 bit today, and I realized only 16 out of the 32gb is being used. In the bios it shows 32gb is there so I know some of the ram is not faulty or anything. Before I installed W7 I didn't have this issue.

That is also the ram that is being used. All the timings and such are correct in the bios.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need windows 7 pro, ultimate, or enterprise to use more than 16gb ram. Or windows 8.

Windows 7 Home premium has a max of 16Gb of ram.

What ver of Win 7, if Home Premium, it only supports 16GB

You're right, didn't bother, I get calls on this every month (2-3 of people going to 32GB with HP, and and about the same people going to 16GB when running HB) it's the first question I ask when I see or here it 😉 and it pops up in forums all the time
