I think I have messed up, but not sure how.
I have the above message. I shall try and give all what I think is relevant info.
A few hours before, I had the machine apart. Moved my drives and changed the cabling about.
Everything was fine for hours afterwards.
I then downloaded and saved to disk Linux mint.
Booted to Linux, tried to connect to the internet. May have clicked something then.
Tried to install to HDD, realised I needed to look some stuff up.
Rebooted to Windows.
Not Connected -No Connections are available.
Tried a few things in settings unsuccessfully.
Gave up and did a system restore to 5 days ago.
No difference.
Rebooted router (and pc multiple times) changed and tested different sockets on the router.
Tested the ethernet cales on a different pc. All fine.
Went up the loft and got my old laptop down which is currently trying to set fire to my desk.
Please help, what have I done?
Happy to try everything again.
