I'm looking to buy another hard drive but I don't have enough small power connectors. I do have quite a few large power connectors left, so I need a converter of some sort, but what would you call it?
I'm going to assume that by "small" you mean the 15-contact connector for a SATA HDD, and by "large" you mean the 4-pin (well, 4-hole because it's the female) Molex power output of a PSU. To get more standard SATA power connectors you can choose one of two types of adapters.
That adapter converts one 4-pin Molex ouput into 2 SATA power connectors. You can use splitters like this easily - the power available at a single PSU output for HDD's is capable of powering several HDD units.
Thanks to you both! Emerald gave the first answer, so I pick that for the solution. And Paperdoc, thanks for the in depth description, I like the splitter.
