Not getting expected internet speeds

Hello everyone,
Im a fanatic gamer/worker and My mother has internet up to 300 down and 100 up.
But I dont get those speeds on my gaming computer.
My specs:
i5 4670
8gb ram
750gb hdd
msi gaming 5
gtx 750ti

I also use internet over the elektricity ( don't know how it is called )
Now i use a devolo Dlan 500.
I also have a Digitus powerline high speed network bridge.

Can anyone help me? I dont know why I have this bad internet ( around 6up and 6 down

Are you connected via wireless or hardline? If wireless, it could be that you have a weak wireless adapter.

Not very familiar with this setup, but the one thing i can think of is to make sure its not plugged into a surge protector. Supposedly this can lead to impaired performance.

First of all, how are you determining you are not getting adequate internet speeds?
