Not getting fps boost from overclocking

I have the MSI gtx 660 oc (factory overclocked by 26MHz) and since the card is getting old, i am upgrading soon, but first i want to overclock both my gpu and cpu to squeeze out the last performance left. I put it on +30MHz to get a little 5-10 fps boost. I did before and after in unigine heaven with a score of 635 but it didn't give me any extra points. I see no fps boost in games. I think it is applying because if i put it on +70MHz my gpu has a spaz. Am i doing something wrong? I know overclocking does give you some nice performance boost, but its just not working for me 🙁

Could you list everything you have changed in your CPU and GPU, before and after.

Also add your case and cooling situation and temps.

If you want a noticeable performance increase you will need to increase everything you've got and keep it as cool as possible.

What are your stock speeds on
CPU
RAM
GPU
and what speeds ate you currently running.

Also, what are you using to boost you GPU? MSI Afterburner?

I would be very surprised to see any noticeable performance increase from 30mhz, let alone 5-10fps. For that sort of increase, youre looking at +150 if not more, and only then if youre not being held back by a low-end CPU.
