[SOLVED] Not getting FPS I should be getting with 3070.

Hey all,

I am writing this thread today to find why my rtx 3070 is running like dogshit.

I have put my speccy down below, so any help as to why and whether or not i have to upgrade specific parts is appreciated.

I see people getting 200 fps on BFV with a 3070 and a Ryzen 5 5600x when I can get barely 90-100 with nothing happening and 50-60 on 1080p on low when all hell breaks lose.

I would appreciate any help you guys can give me because I've been googling stuff for weeks with no help whatsoever.

There is a massive cpu difference between a 7700k and a 5600X. BFV is very cpu heavy.

You want to compare benchmarks to people with the same CPU and same graphics card.

A 5600x is going to give you more FPS than an older chip.

10850k should give you more FPS.

Still, I see people playing the game on ultra in 1080p getting my FPS with a i7 7700k and gtx 1080. I should be getting at least 120-144 on low

A 5600x is going to give you more FPS than an older chip.

10850k should give you more FPS.

I was thinking of getting an i9 9900k but idk if I would need a new PSU with that?

I must missed it I don't' see your power supply.

If your doing crazy OC's on CPU/GPU/RAM, you will need a good PS.

The 9900k costs more than the 10850K. I know you would have to upgrade boards, but I would just sell what you got personally and get 10850k and new board.

Is your RAM the same speed? Are you using the same driver? Both of these could easily explain that difference.

i have ddr4 3200 mhz ram. I just updated my graphics drivers and windows to see if that made the difference, which it didn't. I will double check to see if xmp is on, even though I am pretty sure it is because its the first thing I do when i reset/ Upgrade parts.

EDIT: yes XMP is on

If you want to overclock a good Z490 or Z590 motherboard. If you care less about overclocking the new B560 Tomhawk Board is 180 at MicroCenter. The 10850k is 349. Be 529+ tax. Use your RAM you got.

Then just sell your CPU/MB you have.

Be sure to have a good air cooler I like the fUMA 2.
