Not getting high transfer speed with USB 3.0

Just purchased a Sony 16 GB flash drive with USB 3.0 but on connecting it with my Sony laptop (via the blue USB 3.0 port) I found that the transfer speed was only about 13-15 Mbps which is absolutely dismal by USB 3.0 standards. Just did a quick online search and also checked my Device Manager but couldn't find a solution. I get about 9 Mbps with a USB 2.0 drive. I have attached the relevant screenshots.

Megabits or Megabytes? There's a factor of eight difference.

13-15MB/s write speed is about what you could expect for a low-end USB 3.0 stick.

The manufacturers as well as the people who have bought it both claim that the speed is considerably more than the 13-15 MB/s that I am getting. I think I may have a problem with the concerned drivers although I'm not sure. Please could you guide me in that direction? Thanks.

Ouch. Should be ~90MB/s.

See if you can update the drivers for the USB3.0 root hub.

Select the line in Device manager and hit Update Driver.

I did that but it says that the drivers are already up-to-date (tried both the offline and online searches).

Do you have another device you can try it on?

What are you copying from?

My laptop is the only USB 3.0 enabled device that I have.
I was copying from my laptop's hard disk to the flash-drive (screenshot above).

Hey! I just got it to run by un-installing and re-installing my drivers. Getting about 30-40 MB/s transfer speed now. Thanks a lot for your help.
