Hi I recently have had 500mBs Fibre and my PC is showing 540 mbs download speed via Fast.com. However using the same Ethernet cable I am receiving below 100mbs to a new Toshiba Fire TV.
The same TV will reported 150-200 mbs via Wi-fi.

What sort of speed should the TV report via cable?

More information needed.

Which model Toshiba TV? And the TV being used only as a TV and not as a monitor - correct?

How is the TV being connected to the network?

As I understand your post, you are making the connection by removing the Ethernet cable from router to PC and plugging the previous PC end into the TV.

Before = Router ------> PC
After = Router -----> TV

----> representing an Ethernet cable.

When the TV is being connected using an Ethernet cable is the TV's wifi option being disabled via the TV's menus?

EVERY TV I have had only has 100Mbit ethernet port. That is perfectly normal. The max speed needed for streaming is less than 40Mbit.
