I just recently bought a used gtx 1080 with a Kraken G10 and an H80i v2 for cooling so I won't be able to just warranty the cooler. The card performed wonderfully for hours on end for the first 2 days and had no problems keeping the temps under 56C even with an overclock. Today however the GPU not long after starting, at idle, would go right up to and sit at 90C+. I had the radiator mounted side ways on the back exhaust of my case so that the tubes were closest to the side panel, if that matters. When I turn the case on its side so that the tubes are now closest to the ground, the GPU sits around 45C at idle and jumps right up to 90C within about 3 seconds. I already re-tightened the mounting screws that hold the Kraken bracket and cooler to the GPU and repasted while I was there, but nothing has changed.

I had also checked to see if the pump was making any noise or vibration and I didn't notice anything different than what I noticed from my working H115i on my CPU. I'm hoping that this might be an issue with the mounting pressure on the H80i on the GPU because like I said the GPU doubles in temperature in just seconds and I am not sure how you can really test if an AIO pump dies other than vibration or sound.

Any input on how to see if it really is dead, known issues with the kraken G10 and this AIO, or maybe even a way to get warranty support for this cooler if it does happen to be dead.

best way to test if it is truly dead is to take the pump header and plug it into the a case fan header and make sure that fan header is on maximum. If you cant feel anything in the pump block or lines then it is not pumping. The thermal behavior described definitely points to a complete failure. If you are not the original purchaser of the hardware it is highly unlikely you will be able to claim warranty on it unfortunately. Strikes me as possible you got scammed.

Sounds like you are causing your own airlock by tilting and moving the case.

Can you add a photo of the current orientation?

I'm nearly 100% certain you DO NOT have a dead pump (everyone always jumps to this conclusion) and it is either an airlock (air bubble preventing the pump from moving coolant) or you disconnected something.
