Ok:
Im just got a Vista DVD from a friend. The problem is is now im not sure if it will install right...
So on the DVD it says:

Windows Vista Business 32BIT SP1
Software is already installed on your computer. Use this DVD only to reinstall the operating system on a Dell PC.
This DVD is not for re-installation of programs or drivers.
Support for these products is provided by Dell.
F\For Distribution Only With a New Dell PC.

Then it just gives the copyright info on the bottom.
Then on the back of the paper case it says in blue:
The Microsoft operating system Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a multicolored label located on the side or bottom of your computer. The COA contains the product key code, which might be required to complete the operating system setup.
OK my question is:
I' building a computer and i'm wondering if this is just an OEM and if it will install on a self-built-system. If its not an OEM will it install on my computer im building? Or am i going to have to buy an OS? If so can i sell this to a Dell user so they can use this DVD?
OR can i install it onto my HP dv1000 and take the XP home CD and install XP on the home built system?
BTW: How do you put pictures on this? It would be so much eisier if i can just take a picture and put it on this post so you can see...
