Notebook doesn't detect a particular SSD

Hello everyone,
I have a Vaio notebook that I want to upgrade with an SSD, so I bought a Kingston A400 SSD.

The problem is it doesn't get detected neither in the BIOS nor Windows installation.
I tried connecting it to my desktop and it gets detected, so it's not faulty. I also tried connecting the desktop's SSD (Samsung EVO with Windows installed) to the notebook and it DOES get detected.

What could the problem be?

The Vaio's Sata cable may have issues detecting that SSD. I had a similar issue with a coworkers HP laptop that I was trying to upgrade the stock 5400 RPM drive to an SSD. I had to order a sata cable from some Chinese company and it took like 3 weeks to get in, but when it got there I just plugged the cable in, and turned on the laptop and everything worked perfectly.

What do you mean with sata cable? Because I need it to be installed internally with the OS in it

the sata cable is the cable that runs from the motherboard to the hard drive. It allows the transfer of data.

Of course, but we're talking about a notebook. It doesn't have a cable, the socket is mounted on the motherboard. Also I tried another SSD and it worked. And that's what I don't get

Laptops do have sata cables. The cables are just much smaller.

Well, this one doesn't... It has a socket for the data and the power directly soldered on the motherboard. So changing it would require soldering. The crucial fact is that the Samsung SSD does work, while the Kingston SSD (that I proved not to be faulty) does not, all with the same socket/sata cable
