Hi all,

So i recently built a new computer with MSI Gaming 5 Z97 and i7 4790k.

Today, i installed the MSI GTX 970 normally to the PCI e slot and then run the PC. However, even though the graphic card ran as well as the entire PC, nothing showed up on my monitor screen.

Can anyone help me with a solution?

If you used the on board graphics solution of the motherboard.

First of all connect your video lead from the monitor to the output display ports on the back of your motherboard.
When you power your system on press the key to enter the bios.
You should get an image or display.

Now you need to look in the bios menus for graphics.
There is a setting option of what card should be initialized first.
Set the option to Pci-e or peg mode from IGP, or the Igpfx setting.
If an option exists to turn off the on board graphics display or out put of the motherboard disable it.
Save the new settings before you exit the bios.

The system will restart.
But power it completely down by holding the power button on the case for four seconds.
Now swap the monitor cable from the back of the motherboard to the video output ports of the new GTX 970 card.
Power the system back up and you will get a display on the monitor from the new GTX 970 graphics card ok.

Hi, I have the same exact problem with my Gigabyte GTX 970 OC WindForce... I have tried using the HDMI on it but get no signal, so I have to remove the card and use my MoBo HDMI; what do I do from here? I have tried launching into my BIOS, F12, but it just shows me a black screen but my computer is still going... after a while of waiting nothing happens... I have also found a way of disabling my onboard graphics, should I do this, then restart after installing my new 970?
Thanks
