I've been using this computer for a while with no problems other than needing a new cpu fan which I decided to install today. After the installation of the new fan(hyper evo 212), nothing would show up on my monitor after booting it up. My question is whether i damaged my motherboard in any way since i had to apply a LOT of pressure to screw down the bracket or is it some other reason?
My specs:
Cpu - Amd Athlon x4 860k
Gpu - Gtx 460 cyclone oc 768 mb(upgrading to r7 260x)
Psu - corsair cx 500w
Mobo - msi a78m e35
Ram - some 8gb that was in my old pc

No ive plugged in every necesary cable(power cable for motherboard, cpu cable, fan cables, the 2 pci-e for my gpu, power cables for my case)

If it helps, i also used a different gou in case it was my cards problem and it still wouldnt show anything on screen

I think i put enough force to break 2 pairs of cheap restuarant wooden chopsticks put together. Would that be way too much? And if my motherboard isnt broken is there any other reason that you can think of as to why nothing shows on my monitor? Ive tried using a different monitor and gpu yet the problem remains

The cpu is put in correctly and as far as i can tell there are no bent pins. I might try putting in new ram and then going to a computer shop to get them to test my cpu. If you or anyone else have some ideas please dont hesitate to post 🙂
