I started noticing cursor lag today when going back and forth between my monitor and tv. I've had my tv as my 2nd display for years now and this is the first time I'm noticing an issue. Ironically enough I started having input lag with my nintendo switch pro controller last night as well. I'm wondering if it could be the tv or something else causing this issue. The button delay is quite noticeable playing mario party minigames and just started out of the blue. I've disconnected and repaired the controller to no avail on that issue. I'm about to factory reset my tv to see if that fixes both issues but wanted to explore all avenues before I went that route.

which TV model is it?
usually TVs have a gaming mode or you have to disable picture post processing features manually to reduce input lags
eventually the TV made an update automatically
I corrected the issue. I forgot that I had changed audio syncing issues when I saw my headphones were out of sync with the tv. I turned back on the auto sync issues and the lag went away for both devices.
