Pc boots up fine, plays games fine just no beep that we all know, didn't even pay attention to it until now. Motherboard does cycle trough 3 or 4 lights and boots normally. I'm guessing those lights things it's checking before it starts up.

I7 13700k
Gigabyte AORUS b760 elite

RTX 4080

1. Make sure you actually have internal speaker connected, to hear beeps.
2. New PCs won't beep-poop anymore on normal boot. But when they do, there's something wrong. (That's difficult to adjust, since older PCs beeped every time on boot up.)

OH didn't know new stuff doesn't beep on every boot, quick Google search had me frightened said Psu, ram, cpu problem if it doesn't beep. I figured since it boots everything should be fine. Could you chek if this mobo even has a speaker cuz I'm taking it for a cooler repaste to the guy that built it might as well know.

Here is the mobo website:

Forward thanks!

MoBos don't have built-in internal speaker. Instead your MoBo has to have this thing:

Further reading from holy bible of PCs (MoBo manual), page 28. Look for "SPEAK" definition.
And based on your holy bible of PCs, 1 short beep = all is okay.

Don't know if it has it, guy built pc for me, does mine come with that or is that a part I should buy separately? I hear no beep at all. But from what I understand if it boots to desktop everything should be fine? Looked at my mobo box I have two small baggies maybe speaker was in of them?
So if I have a speaker and the pc boots just fine with no beep something is still wrong? I'm sorry for stupid questions I just never built a pc by myself.

Just one more thing if you could help me before I bring it for a repaste to a guy that built it.

In manual it says:

Status LEDs
The status LEDs show whether the CPU, memory, graphics card, and operating system are working properly
after system power-on. If the CPU/DRAM/VGA LED is on, that means the corresponding device is not working
normally; if the BOOT LED is on, that means you haven't entered the operating system yet.

For me all of these lights turn on for a sec, when I press power on. It goes trough each one in order than no lights. Does manual refer if they stay on or they should never turn on to begin with?

Internal speaker usually comes with MoBo, as one of the accessories. If the bloke who built it to you kept the MoBo accessories, then ask the speaker from him. Else-ways, you need to buy one.

So if I have a speaker and the pc boots just fine with no beep something is still wrong?

No. When there is an issue, there are several beeps, both short and long. No beep or just 1 short beep (if you have internal speaker), means PC is fine.

You do have your MoBo manual, right? If not, you can download it from the page you gave above (that's how i got it).

But to answer your question: status LEDs (aka debug LEDs), if they remain lit, then there is an issue. Them turning on for a second, is when PC checks during POST if hardware is working properly.

Seems like this one doesn't come with a speaker or am I wrong?
Don't care much about the speaker was just concerned that I had no boot sound.
