I would like to find a free or cheap PC utility that will simply notify me whenever a new MAC connects to my home network. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Just replaced Router. Set up same SSID PWs because I over FIFTY devices, including 3 access points, on WIFI. PW or no PW I get unknowns trying to connect once in a while. It will be easier for me to just block unknowns vice changing PW.

There IS software that will do this. I use one called FING, which does exactly what I want plus a LOT more that I don’t need or understand, however it is a $69 per yr. POS, constantly causing serious WIFI and Inet degradation, so I am looking for something else.

I might just decide to set up WIFI MAC authentication . Fifty some devices but once its done it is done. No software required.

If the unknowns don't know the pwd, they don't connect.
The router rejects them.

Or am I missing something?

Most routers have an Access Control option listed in the Security section. You just turn it on and indicate that only your currently known devices that you have (Whitelist) are allowed to connect. No new devices can connect once Access Control is turned on.
