While accessing the windows NT server from any client (Win
98, NT) i get the mesage " server is not configured for
transactions"

Open a dos prompt on the NT server and run net share
then verify IPC$ is being shared out. If it's not being
shared out. Open a dos prompt and run net share IPC$.
If this resolves your issue then reinstall the file and print
sharing service. This will recreate the share.
