I currently installed Windows Server 2003 standard
edition. What is the best way to wipe out Server 2003
completely and install NT4.0 as a BDC on my network.
Please advise.

Start the NT4 setup from CD and then delete and recreate all partitions
during setup. Note that this will of course delete all data on this system.
During install chosse BDC as the role of this machine and you should be
good. Are you having any difficulties doing this so far?

ADDENDUM:
If this machine was joined to the Domain and made into a
Domain Controller, you should first use DCPROMO to demote
the server before reinstalling it with Windows NT.
!!IMPORTANT NOTE!!
If you have your Windows 2003 Domain in Native Mode then
you CAN NOT use Windows NT as a BDC! To use Windows NT
and return to Mixed mode you must delete your domain,
Active Directory: NTDIS.DIT, and uninstall active
directory from all domain controllers in the forest.
NOTE: Make sure you have a PDC already in place to sustain
the Domain. Make sure all Active Directory fsmo roles are
transferred off this server before demoting it.
