Everytime I install a Service Pack on our NT 4.0 server, there is a problem.
I put off installing SP6, but had to for a program I was installing. After
the service pack install, the server is running very slow. I looked in the
task manager, and I noticed that a file, ntsm.exe is running at 97 - 99%
constantly.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to stop it?

Thank you for your help in advance!!

Hello Candace,

see http://www.ncr.com/support/pcfiles/NCRsoftw/VALUEP/SM6SP2.TXT

* Installing Server Manager Service Pack Requirement

Whenever you experience a problem with Server Manager 6.0 the latest
Service Pack should be installed. This Server Manager Service Pack
is required when using Server Manager 6.0 with Windows NT 4.0,
Terminal Server Edition.
