Number of HDDs in my tower

I'm in the middle of my first build and am beginning to wonder if my case supports what I want to do.

I bought a Corsair Carbide Series 88R case. My plan has always been to install four HDDs and no SSDs. According to the manual, this thing has room for two HDDs, an SSD and a disk drive. My hope is to just put my other two HDDs in the SSD and disk drive slots. Is that possible? My PSU and Mobo both support the number of HDDs I want.

If that can't happen, I'm not above placing them somewhere in the case and securing them however I can.

You can install 3x 3.5'' drives in that case. There is no place for 4th one.
Use 3.5'' to 5.25'' drive adapter.

Realisticly speaking, if you already have the HDD's I'd have no idea, there are 2.5 to 3.5 bay adapters but they can be very case dependent and I'm not 100% sure you could pull them off in that case. If you don't have all 4 HDD's yet, you could get 2 3.5mm HDD's and 2 2.5mm HDD's. If you can find a way to mount them into the SSD slots, try it. I wouldn't recommend just taping these to the side of your case with double sided tape though. HDD's make allot of vibrations, which could over time vibrate the tape loose and drop your HDD, completely destroying it, and its data.
You could try something like this, but I wouldn't recommend it. http://

Old ones, yes. I'm taking three external HDs and making them internal, plus a brand new WD Caviar Blue. Actually, all of the HDDs are WD. Two My Books and an Element, I believe.

The externals I think all have corner pads, would utilizing those minimize any movement or rattling? I'm not going to suspend or hang anything...any "mounting" I do that does not involve brackets will be at the bottom of the case.

But what if they are secured to the bottom of the case? Using the padding they had while in their enclosures (three of them were originally external HDs).

I'll concede that the distance between drive cage and front isn't what I thought it was. However, I like it on top of the cage as well. Could also stand them on their end, too. I swear I'm going to make this work...
