W00t, needed some StarCraftII attention badly. For some reason my SLI 480s were having some trouble with the AA cranked up.... makes no sense.

Chip is an i7 920 at 4.3Ghz so dont get me started on bottlenecks...

[citation][nom]MxM[/nom]They were not removing drivers from the system at all so they could not "screw up" the system. More over, I understand that technology purist would say "always uninstall old drivers first", but if you system does not have any problems, THERE IS NO NEED of doing that, not with NVIDIA drivers (not sure about ATI). I never had any issues just to run their drivers, they install quite fine without uninstalation of the old drivers. And judging by boards NVIDIA drivers are usually superior in quality and have less problems than ATI drivers.[/citation]

Personally I've had the exact opposite with Nvidia drivers. I guess it's just me, as most people I know use Nvidia and have no issues. Not sure what's up with that, kind of weird.

As for ATI drivers, yep. No issues at all here without uninstalling drivers first. You end up with quite a large folder of unzipped drivers, as it doesn't seem to overwrite or anything, but that's easy enough to deal with.

After installing this driver GTA V EFLC keeps crashing (nvidia speciffic error). I have i7 720, ram dominator, mb rampage 2 extreme, nvidia gtx470.

What can be done here ?

As this is the comment section not the help section try asking in the Graphics forum.

That does make no sense. I'm using GTX 470's in SLI maxing everything and I still end up with ridiculously high frame rates. Then again, this game is NOT demanding on the GPU, you can max out the settings with a 9000 series card.

Uninstall the driver and go back to an older version, where you didn't have the issue? Or ask in the graphics forums.

Thanks ! I did return to the previous version. I guess i'll have to wait for the final release.

It not like it was hard to install the previous drivers. And still no separate graphics driver only download option. Totally sick of the 120MB driver, roughly half of which is PhysX - which I totally don't need or want.

haha, similar to ATi? How often does ATi release a driver? twice a year?

[citation][nom]eddieroolz[/nom]I haven't gotten a driver update lately. I guess these don't support GTS 250?[/citation]

this driver supports way down to nvidia 6 series. you can go to nvidia site directly to see more details on it. currently i'm using this driver with my GTS250 and try to see if there will be any issue in the games that i played

+2 for nvidia

So long as it doesn't install all way to then en then tell me : microsoft framework must be installed..... then uninstall: WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

I hate ati driver installation: it should detect the requirements before installing!

I've installed it just fine without .net framework. It simply tells you that you can't use the control panel until you install the framework. The driver works fine and the control center loads once you download the .net framework.
