NVidia and ATI VIdeo Cards...

I have no idea of how Nvidia works, their explanations make my head hurt being honest... I've been a ATI customer all my life so i'd like to know some stuff;

I am currently searching for graphic card. I have found a couple ATI graphic cards, but would love to know any graphic cards that can run on a G33M02 motherboard, with 300 Watt Power Supply (Might get a 550Watt PSU) but that's what i got for the moment.

The graphic card i'm searching is for online gaming, or just simply gaming. Not looking for specific resolution, i'm searching for cheap (as in $100 or less).
Any suggestions on Nvidia or ATI Graphic cards?

Anything'll run. You won't have any compatibility problems. I think you'd do best with a 5670; AMD often has the best values at the low end.

I'd get a better PSU as soon as possible, as yours is probably a no-name box with a Dell mobo like that Foxconn. 430W would be plenty, but 500W would someday be salvageable for a high-end system.

With the low end components that you have you are better off sticking with your ATI cards because you are familiar with them and the differences are not going to be worth spending a lot of time on. Unless you spend a lot of money in an overall upgrade the games you will be able to play are going to be low end budget games anyway. With the cpu ,ram , MB and psu that you have it would make no sense to get a more expensive video card anyway. A 300w psu is really going to limit the card that you can get , $50 to $75 range.

Having trouble finding an Ati card to work with a 300w psu , I did find this Nvidia card that will. You may have to get a larger psu to open up the selections otherwise you will not have that much to choose from. There is no big difference between Nvidia and Ati , video cards all work the same way , you just install the card and drivers and run the Pc the same way you always do.

Thanks but as I mentioned above, I will get a 550W PSU if it's necessary, I'm just tired of getting frame lagg all of a sudden in-game after about 40 min gameplay.

^Ah. You didn't mention that before. Throttling after gameplay sounds like a thermal issue, not a hardware problem. If it works at one time, there's no reason but some kind of throttling that it shouldn't work at another. Get Speedfan, Hardware Monitor or MSI Afterburner and check out your GPU/CPU temps when you lag.

It's kinda like Intel / AMD choice .... I like ATI (AMD) at the lower price points (< $200) and nVidia at $200 and up.

As for the PSU, a quality PSU at 550 watts gonna cost ya $60.....with this 650 watter at the same price, it's the smallest one I'm putting in these days.
