Ok im building a new comp, with this current hardware config..
DFI UT nF3 250g Mother Board, Ant 64 chipset.
2 gig sticks of Kingston pc 3200 ram.
Ant 2400 Processor
Roms and such im just transfering from my current comp.
Barracuda 80 gig HD.

Now for video card, I read here that the ATI card is supperior. I want to use that but im wondering if the Nvidia chipset will at all influence my video card. I know its a toss up between the ATI card and the new GeForce card, but since the ATI eeks it out by a little, i want to use the superior card. However, im afraid of small hardware incompatabilities that have plagued my current comp, or atleast i think do, due to how many crashes out of games and what not i get. I really want a smoother running and more reliable comp, will this sufice or what shoudl i do?

Sorry for length and if this is a stupid question, just dont wanna blow a lot of cash and fail at my reasons for upgrading. If you have any further input on making this scream, please let me know!!! Thanks!!

I'm running a 9600pro on my Nforce3 250 board, took it from my old nforce2 board. No problems at all.
If you think about it, nvidia's chipset division would not do too well, if they only supported nvidia graphics. They sure wouldn't have the standing they do with the enthusiast community.

I had figured... but i cant play any game for more then like 30 min b4 i crash out for whatever reason, i account my bad ram for most of it, but im so tired of it, im just gonna overhual my system. Thnx for the info. Im looking to drop in the new x800 ultra, with 256 ram.

What violence doesnt solve, alcohol will!

I haven't seen any compatability issues between the ATI graphics cards and nVidia chipsets.
