I have a GTX 750ti, which is connected to a television via an HDMI cable. It worked fine for a while, but the resolution has been severely restricted. Additionally, the sound no longer works through the HDMI. I went into the Nvidia control panel, and it is incorrectly saying that I am using a DVI connection. I have tried uninstalling the display drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller, followed by a clean driver install from the Nvidia website, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello... 2) There is a Aspect ratio difference between broadcast/TV's and standard computer monitors 16:10 16:9 4:3... this is typically the problem with a bad picture from a Video card. Change this setting in the NVidia panel or your TV input settings.
3) Are you using any adaptors to the TV? This can block HDMI communications.
4) what HDMI version cable are you using? http://denon.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/192/~/differences-between-hdmi-versions-1.1,-1.2,-1.3a,-1.4-and-2.0%3F it should be listed/printed on the cable/connector.
5) If you have playing with a lot of settings... remove the previous driver install... re-boot, install the driver, this will get you back to default settings.

It won't allow me to. It shows that the Nvidia HDMI output is not plugged in, even though it is. I've tried removing and replacing the cable, but it still says that it's unplugged. The strangest thing is that it still displays the screen, albeit in a blown out resolution.
