I'll start off by listing my pc specs:

Case: NZXT M59
Motherboard: ASUS P7H55-M
CPU: Intel Core i5 760 @2.8GHz
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 650 SC 1GB
Ram: 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 2133MHz
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 700W
HD: WD Black 1TB

I recently upgraded my pc with these (motherboard wasn't changed) to be able to play Steam games such as Chivalry Medieval Warfare and Warframe. Although, when I start up these games, I'm only able to run them for a good 5 minutes or less before I'm brought back to my desktop with the "Display driver has stopped responding but has recovered" error, or forced to restart my pc because there is no display.

This problem has been going on for months and has been a real headache; I updated my drivers to the latest version (yes, a full clean installation of them) and even tried disabling TdrDelay in the Registry Editor.

So if there is anyone who can suggest a possible solution to this issue, it would be much appreciated!

Solution
im not entirely sure what the cause is, it could be a faulty psu or gpu. I'm guessing gpu because an inefficient/or bad psu would often cause a reboot/shutdown. But to rule out either if you can borrow from a friend to try with would be cheaper option to diagnose. Might have to take it to a repair shop where they would have the tools/parts to properly investigate.

On the side, you can try downloading msi afterburner and force constant voltage and use kernel mode in the options and see if it helps any.

the fault is in ur psu. i had the same issue before replacing my psu...... in starting i thought my graphic card is gone or is it driver problem... bt after doing some research i down graded my drivers and all bt the problem persisted.. then i replaced my psu and the error was gone... forever till nw.... my pc is running perfectly..... ny specs are
i7 3770 @ 3.4ghz
500 gb wd green hd
gtx 650 2gb ddr5
16 gb ram
intel original board DH61WW
psu iball marathon 500 watt
although my psu is chinese 1 bt still it is providing proper voltages to my pc......
bt ya i had issues after replacing psu in some games like gta 5 after 15 minutes of game play it crashes hangs on screen untill i restart... bt i got a solution for that too.... just do these steps 1st before replacing psu may be it can solve ur problem
1- power off ur system and remove evry wires attached
2- take out the cell from the mother board
3- nw press the power button for abt approx 50-60 seconds ( this will remove the charge from the capacitors of the mothereboard and will set ur motherboard to default)
4- after this place the cell back again and power on the system.... and check ur problem again...
hope ur problem will be gone notify me.... after doing...

this u have to do before replacing psu if problem persist then replace ur psu...... keep me notified...

After removing that update, my USB 3.0 slots don't want to work, none of my USB controls want to be installed, mainly the Xbox ones and their drivers, but for the most part there was no crashing. Since I can't play without controls, gonna have to try to reinstall it. There's no other fix for me then. Just gonna have to build a better pc.

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
CPU: AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
GPU: MSI GTX 960, Driver: 375.70
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
RAM: 8.00GB
