NVIDIA driver (340.52 - 335. 23) fails to install on GTX 770

I have tried all of these solutions, in and out of safe mode, to no effect:

-Installing using the device manager (drivers found, but an unspecified error occurred)
-installing after using Take Ownership and/or Display Driver Uninstaller
-running everything as administrator
-disabling GeForce Experience / enabling clean install
-Uninstalling/disabling the adapters in device manager


Does anyone have any other suggestions?

have you tried using some sort of driver sweeper?

I would suggest trying this http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

After download and install it just run it and remove everything related to your GPU. Then download the latest driver from nVidia's website and install it.

My tablet autocorrected Uninstaller to Updater - as you can see in the updated post, I tried that already.
The solution was to disable one of the GPUs - it installed fine after that.

I didn't realize you had more than one GPU.
