nVidia Driver Installation Failed - 376.33

Hi there. I have a nVidia GTX 760 graphics card.

My drivers are 500+ days old (PC was inactive for around 7 or 8 months and no previous driver update was done for a while).

GeForce Experience says latest driver installed was 353.62 (Release date 07/29/2015 US date)

Every time I try installing the latest driver it "fails to install" - no error message given.

- Have tried on nVidia's website and also GeForce Experience
- Have tried Express and Custom Installation
- Have tried installing each new update separately through Custom Installation
- Have tried Clean Installation

Nothing I do seems to work, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Try booting into safe mode and running Display Driver Uninstaller(select clean and restart). http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

The bottom download link is for 17.0.4.0, even though it says 17.0.3.1.

i had issues with 388.59 388.43 and 1 more driver was able to install only 388.00
booted into safe mode and installed the latest by downloading from nvidia website (not from geforce experience)..
