HEADLINE: New graphics driver does what a new graphics driver is supposed to do.
The reason people are comparing this to the 5870 release, is nVidia hopes that news updates like this make people WANT to switch to nVidia. Right now, the only thing nVidia has over ATI is PhysX, and even that's only about 50% of the games out there if that. So sure, pound for pound it's not a great comparison of newsbytes... but with Tech like Eyefinity, True DX11 support, and a ultra-competitive price point, nVidia is going to have to play catch up at this point.
I know this totally makes me want to NOT get an additional 4870 for $150 to match my existing card and Crossfire them. Right now ATI is just simply the best gaming bang for the buck.
