NVIDIA Drivers cut out sound entirely.

So, I am having a terrible issue with my new graphics card and I would seriously love some help.

First, my setup:
I have my computer (Win7HP) connected to my TV (ApexDigital) through DVI (Computer) to HDMI (TV). The converter between the two does not support audio transfer. This was not a big deal with my previous graphics card, it output only video so my TV could pick up on Analog audio sources and with a standard audio cable I could connect the lime-green port to my TV's PC Audio IN port and it worked just fine. The new graphics card, a BFG GTX-260 series, has two DVI ports and apparantly tries to force a Digital audio-out signal, ceasing my computer from using the Analog one.
My first idea was to disable the digital signals in my Playback Devices (Since they both were showing as S/PDIF, this wasn't hard to pinpoint). No fix.
I then pulled up my NVIDIA console and went to the Digital Audio settings. There was an option for the one port, labeled LCDTV, and it could only be toggled between that or no audio at all. Turning this off did nothing.
I then contacted NVIDIA support, they had me go to Device Manager and disable the NVIDIA option from my Sound Controllers, making sure that the Onboard option was the only one available there. No fix.
They then had me boot to BIOS and make sure that my Onboard Audio option was enabled...it already had been. They asked me to Reset Defaults and it changed nothing.
Finally, they had me download a DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and wipe my computer of NVIDIA entirely from Safe Mode. Immediately after restarting my SOUND WORKED...
...but then after the computer auto installed the basic drivers for the card, it asked me to reset and the audio was gone once again.

I have been looking everywhere for fixes, even trying suggestions to edit the Registry to trick my video devices to think they are outputting DVI and not HDMI to allow the analog signal to bypass...but even after following instructions to gain permissions from the Registry to actually make edits it ultimately wouldn't allow any changes at all, and I gave up on that.

I was told that it might be beneficial to download an audio driver program made for the motherboard (It is a M4N72-E by Asus) and I cannot figure out how to use the program properly. It's called HD VDeck, if anyone has experience with it.

So, I am unsure what to do anymore...without the drivers at all the setup works just fine, but once that basic driver installs it doesn't. It seems unlikely that this setup is impossible because of that; and that it is an issue involving the drivers...but I would seriously love some help. This has been a 72-hour headache and I am losing my cool quickly. Thanks in advance!

Also, if it helps at all, I am more than happy to give any information about my hardware or software on my computer. I have CPU-ID installed for that reason.

Press the Win7 button on the corner and type in the search box "Change device installation settings" ,click on it and then check the box with "Never Install driver software from Windows Updates".Wipe your drivers with DDU and then install only the Driver + PhysX software and uncheck the other boxes.
Try this and report back

I ran the DDU and, sure enough, the sound came back as expected..currently running the Custom Install with only the Graphics Driver and PhysX options selected. Gonna restart afterwards, will report any progress. : )

I had done that numerous times and absolutely no changes..

Those settings from Windows are just to make sure that your Driver won't reinstall automatically, after unninstalling 😀

So, even though I had that option checked in the menu you mentioned, something immediately installed and asked for a reset of my computer. I ignored it, ran the program to install the two items you mentioned and, after a reset, the sound is back to being nonexistant..

I have never used Realtek for the audio on my computer...could you provide me a link and what I should expect from the program?..

I'm not sure...Device Manager is showing two things, the VIA High Definition Audio and the NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device...
...and my Playback Devices is showing Speakers as Main Audio and Headphones as Main Communications, both through the VIA HD Audio option. There are two others in the list: A SPDIF Interface option and a Digital Output Device (with a TV icon), both say they run through the VIA HD option. The SPDIF says it is controlled by a Riser Digital Jack and the other says it is controlled by an HDMI Digital Jack. The Speakers are for the three Back Panels Jacks and the Headphones are for the Front Panel Jack, but no sound is coming from the Back Panel connection and the Headphone Jack up front doesn't work either.

There is nothing plugged in to the Front Jack and I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, so I don't know how that article for Vista could help.

I cannot get the Realtek Audio Manager to install the program, it only seems to install drivers..

If I could get a direct link to it, that would probably help. I have tried downloading two things from the site directly and they did the same thing.

Yes. It's the updated version and now you can access the sound configuration panel on your Win 7. Did you search for front panel jack detection and turned it off? Also there's a another option that makes those front and rear connectors to run as two different controllers. If you find that settings, try setting even that to work as one.
