Nvidia drivers not installing

Just upgraded to a gtx 1060 but the drivers won't install properly. I downloaded them from nvidia's website and it started to install them but when I open geforce experience it downloads the game ready driver (385.69) and it installs it but when I restart the pc nothing changes and it still gives me an option to install the game ready driver. I'm on Windows 10.

Is Windows 10 updated? Sometimes the GeForce drivers can have issues if Windows is not updated.

Did you remove the drivers from your previous GPU?

You may want to try installing the drivers straight from Nvidia's website and not through GeForce Experience.

It says it is version 385.69 yes I removed previous gpu driver and updated windows. Still doesn't work.

Install the drivers again choosing clean install.

Already tried to do a clean install, I also tried to reinstall from the beginning all drivers. Still don't work 🙁

So it says the drivers are installed then?

Not understanding the problem.

Yeah it says I have the most recent version but I don't have the nvidia control panel, I don't have any nvidia programs installed except geforce experience. It says I have the most recent version but it looks like they are not installed. I can' t do anything with the gpu except enter the geforce experience and download the game ready drivers. When I install them nothing happens. At this point I don't know what to try.

Right click on the desktop, Control panel should be there.

That's the problem, it doesn't do any changes after I install the drivers.

Download DDU and remove all graphics card drivers.
