Nvidia drivers not working

I downloaded the new drivers that Nvidia rolled out for Win10 and when I try installing it the installation fails because it's "not compatible with this version of windows."... Nvidia pls.

Have you performed a clean install? Have you installed all your other drivers (motherboard, etc)

I used the GWX program on my then Win7 PC to install Win10. My PC is prebuilt from HP so I don't know if I have to re-install everything? The installation carried over all of my programs/settings but for some reason the driver installer doesn't detect either my card or my version of Windows.

I had the same problem, and I fully uninstalled and reinstalled my GPU drivers as instructed in link below. Seems to be working fine now.
