I have just read and implemented "older" drivers (566.36) after reading serval articles stating that all the newer drivers had significant flaws. After implementing the driver I listed here, I have found that I no longer have any issues the current drivers are causing. But my question is this. When will we know when Nvidia has corrected the flaws and that we can trust the upcoming drivers in the future? It seems to me that Nvidia is playing a very dangerous game.

Thank you.

You look through Nvidia's support site for the updated driver, if Nvidia's able to keep atop of the issue as it's done prior.

What? Nowhere in Nvidia documents does it state that they are having any issues. So why would I trust a site that misleads its customers? Need I point out that Nvidia also stated that it's well stocked with its 50 series and able to meet its customers' demands when we all know that's a lie as well?

I can't remember an nVidia driver release that didn't include both fixed issues and still existing known open issues in the release notes for at least 20 years, but of course those omit most of the huge laundry list of reported bugs on the nVidia forums.

Most of the bugs are reported there because apparently you have to register as a developer in order to report them directly to nVidia. Some issues remain open for many years, while others are so severe they usually get corrected in the very next release, like being unable to wake from sleep.

I have been using Nvidia cards since the SLI of two GeForce GTX 460s, and I have never had the issues that I have been having owning a new 4090 FE, soon to be replaced by the 5090 FE. It seems that Nvidia knows that the only competition for its video cards is Nvidia itself, so they have become lazy and lethargic in making and managing their products along with the company itself.
