that i believe is the current guild war 2 system, where you can take the gold you earn, and buy money currency from people who bought it and wanted gold.

and lets also define pay to win as massive inventory upgrades for some game types. i can imagine something like path of exile being un balanced just because someone has more inventory space. but that really only applies to one game type.

mostly when i see people scream pay 2 win, i just imagine people who can only compete with people in their own level range and gear type, while i have to usualy match up against someone who clearly out gear me to have a chance at not being within the top 5 ranks of a leader board.

but that also may be personal taste because i hate being number 1 on leader boards. i love challenge and being on the bottom because the game is hard.
