[SOLVED] Nvidia Geforce 1030 SLI Compatability

I currently have a Nvidia GTX 1060 in my computer, and I just installed a Nvidia GT 1030 as well. Everything seems to work fine but I noticed I can't see the 1030 using task manager or any other program I have to check my specs and so I dont know if it is actually doing anything. Both GPU fans are powered and the 1060 periodically doesn't spin as if all the load is on the 1030, (the 1060 is the first card in my PC though). Can I just not use the 1030 as a 2nd graphics card?

Remove that horrible 1030 GT and never put it back in your system. That card is garbage. The GT series are entry lvl graphics card and should be used as paperweight

Agreed, theres no reason to have that card in your system. Secondly the 1060 and 1030 don't support SLI. Also by and large SLI is worthless, so if you want better performance buy a single more powerful card.

You cannot Sli a 1030 with the 1060. Neither the 1030 or 1060 support Sli. Even if they did you have to use 2 of the same cards, for example 2x1070’s.

Finally Sli support is dying, it is not worth investing in.

The only reason to have the GT 1030 is if your GTX 1060 doesn't have enough outputs.
