Nvidia Geforce 840m underperforming?

I am bearly able to play any games at all with this card, last night i tried Odd world; new n tasty with the lowest setttings and vsync off and got a wooping 13 fps! What is wrong with this stupid card???

This GPU really isn't meant for games.
Minimum requirement for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a GeForce GTX 260, which scores a GPU mark score of 1119.
Recommended GPU is a GTX 560, which scores 3110.
The GeForce 840M scores 844.
The GeForce 850m scores 1408, which would meet the minimum requirements.
The GeForce 870m scores 3586, which would meet the recommended requirements.

Although the 840m isn't really a high end gaming chip, it should still manage some decent performance. If it can handle BF4 at a reasonable frame rate at low, it should be able to handle this at the lowest settings. I would make sure that your laptop is optomized. Make sure that you have deleted temp files and defragged your PC recently. I would suggest:
