I have an ASUS Essentio Desktop running the factory NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 graphics card. I have it connected to a Samsung J5200 Series 40" 1080p HD LED TV. I am having problems with image quality and resolution. Even though the TV is 1080p HD (1920 x 1080) and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 card supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600, when I set my resolution to 1920 x 1080 the desktop is stretched beyond the screen of the TV, to get it to fit within the full screen I have to custom set it to 1842 x 1026. Even @ 1842 x 1026 (highest resolution I can achieve), text is blurry and image is not clear. I can also set the resolution to 1768 x 992 but thats even worse.
Would upgrading the graphics card to say a MSI Radeon RX 580 DirectX 12 make any difference? I want to run a full 1080p HD resolution on my TV.
This is the card I was looking at: https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-580-rx-580-armor-8g-oc/p/N82E16814137118
Heres the specs on my system:
-Intel i5-3470 H77 Chipset @ 3.20GHz
-16GB DDR3
-Windows 7 Professional SP1 (64 Bit)
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 (Running Latest Version of the NVIDIA Drivers)
-SAMSUNG UN40J5200AF 40" 1080p LED
Thanks guys,
-Ian
