NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 driver installation failing HELP

So today I purchased an nvidia geforce gtx 650 graphics card for my hp pavilion p6527. Im very new to PC gaming so please bear with me. After opening my computer i spotted no graphics card and saw open pci-e slots so i just put the gtx 650 in. it came with DVI to VGA cable and an hdmi cable thing. do i need to use any of these cables? im pretty sure i put it in right because i hear its fan working in my computer. so as i proceed to put the cd in and install the driver software, it says failed to install. please help?

Go to their site and get the LATEST driver, not one that is probably a year old. Here's a link in case you're lazy.

Install GeForce Experience and then go immediately to the "Driver" tab if it doesn't start installing automatically.
