Nvidia GeForce GTX 740M code 43

I have a HP Envy core i5 2.5ghz with an on board nvidia geforce gtx 740m graphics card. I've been stuck with this stubborn code 43 error for the past month. I've tried everyway i can think of to trouble shoot this issue.

• 
  - installing updated drivers
  - installing back dated drivers
  - trying both windows 10 and windows 8.1
  - using a driver uninstaller
  - disabling and enabling the gpu
  - diabling the integrated graphics

I've tried all of these but none work. I almost deciding to sell this laptop if the problem persists. Please can someone help me!!.

If a clean Windows setup with new drivers did not help, the issue is with the hardware. Code 43 is not a full smoking gun about the exact issue, but in many cases it's a power issue. Can be it's not getting enough power to it and thus crashing.

Have you installed the latest drivers for your nvidia?
