Nvidia would have been better off admitting it's there fault from the beginning and still maintaining they did nothing wrong now is not going to win back the trust of anyone who was unlucky enough of get one of there crappy gpu's, and Nvidia, what about the rest of the world ? will you have to be dragged through the courts in other countries before you do the right thing ??

[citation][nom]meat81[/nom]Then they obviously are not affected by the problem if their laptop is in the garbage...[/citation]

They are affected, there out of pocket, obviously.

What would be nice if Nvidia were to make replacement cards using their latest gpu but under clocked to match the original faulty cards performance, so that people who don't meet their settlement criteria can get it fixed without fear of wasting money on another crappy card that will fry after 13 months.

Ehh, screw nvidia. Toshiba still isn't on that list and my laptop is still sitting with a bum video card in it due to their cheap/faulty graphics card. I used to never have a preference between ati and nvidia, but my theory is burn me once, don't expect me to come back. Especially with a $2500 purchase. I really hope some of these companies take it to heart when they screw their customers and they don't come back.

I want a class action suit like this in Canada, so I can replave my dv9005. The model nimber is in the list. Ayone want to buy my computer?

what about all the dv9500's that obviously have the same problem that HP refused to fix?....why?....the dv9500 is not on the list at all......as a matter of fact the settlement list is identical to the original HP list put out by HP and it of course doesn't include the dv9500......although many owners of that model had the identical failures as well.

This is ridiculous. I have a 1,200 HP dv2500t with their crappy Geforce 8400M(an option I payed extra for, good grief) and it's not included in this list so Im still getting nothing. I swear IM never gonna purchase another HP or nvidia product. Sure everyone has a defective product here and there, and maybe there new stuff is perfectly fine but for me that was a lot of money for a paperweight. I dont understand how they can only cover these models and not every computer that had their faulty chips in it.

dude, we know, thats what the little green thumbs up hand to the right is for.

stop filling up the internet. we need the space for more porn.

No HP Pavilion dv6700 on here?! I own a dv6700 and I have had numerous issues with the graphics card overheating. I've had to replace my fan and battery due to them being overworked to cool the damn thing. It has the onboard 8400M. I do not see why it should not be included.

i had a compac presario and it always had problems, i had to send it in and it never came back working correctly. I was so angry. What are we suppose to do about all this? we pay and work hard for the little money we make in this economy.and exspect computers ect, to work correctly not everything go wrong.

My HP laptop exhibits the SAME symptoms described in the settlement info, contains an NVIDIA card, is a qualified model purchased in the qualified time period...but my product # isn't there! What gives? How in the world did they determine which product #'s qualify & which don't? Mine most definitely has the same problems that all those on the list do!

All of this comes as little comfort to anyone that had the faulty GPU set but doesn't have an HP, Dell, or Apple. Everyone that is affected in this manner should know that their claim against the company isn't settled, and if they still have the product and can produce a reciept a second class action isn't out of the question. I personally switched to AMD and don't plan on doing business with a company as negligent as Nvidia.

this issue is still not resolved..NVIDIA fights it all the way..even to the point of not following their settlement by trying to substitute a $300 laptop for laptops some people paid well over a $1000 for. Shame on HP too for hiding from this problem. I will vote my own spending dollars and not buy any Nvidia or HP products in the future. I will also voice my opinion when I am asked what to buy....and that happens about 4 times a week.

Anyone have an issue when the said laptop was recycled prior to the settlement? I tried sending the original hard drive as proof but they rejected my claim, which was originally accepted. Problem is, I recycled the laptop 2 years ago ... trying to be a good citizen and I get hosed ... anyone else having this issue, and what can I do about it?
