Hello, whenever I try to install my new NVIDIA GTX 770 drivers, it says that "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" on the system check. The fans are moving, so I know its actually powered, also the card does NOT show up under device manager. I have tried removing all older drivers and still no luck. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

How old is the PSU? The CX series has longevity issues, they were a great budget option when they came out but time has proven they have issues. You could also try and reset bios defaults/clear nvram on the motherboard by using the nvram/cmos jumper or button(depending on the motherboard).

With the DVI adapter you need to make sure you are plugging it into the dvi-i port. The 770 has 2 dvi ports 1 is dvi-i and will work the vga adapter, the other is dvi-d and will not work with a vga adapter as it only carries a digital signal. The dvi-i port is the one closest to hdmi port.
This is from a 760 but the port layout is the same on the 770.

Plug the monitor back into the motherboard and enter the bios and set the default video device to the pci-e graphics(peg)-> shutdown the system them plug the monitor back into the video card and power the system back on. Also whats the make and model of the power supply?

I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to bignastyid, even though he may not have helped me he atleast tried and he broke down the problem, I eventually found out what was wrong and if you are having the same problems as I am, PLEASE follow all the steps that he asked me to do and if all else fails, CHANGE THE CARD TO A DIFFERENT PCI SLOT. It seems my 3.0 slot was faulty and changing it caused it to be fixed!
