Nvidia GT 620M Not working, Memory size 0 bytes

My Laptop is Samsung NP300EPX-S04IN. Samsung has stopped the software updates for later versions of windows like 8, 8.1 and 10.

Its been 3 days since I have been struggling with this problem. My graphics card is not working, nvidia GPU load tool doesn't show any utilization of my graphics card.

None of the GPU test tools can detect my 620m and if GPU z detected it can't show the memory size. Same happened with system information, siw and other tools.

I have already formatted the system with windows 10, 8, 8.1 and 7 ( I have it installed currently ). I tried to update the graphics card but nothing happened. I also searched and implemented methods to solve code 43 error but still nothing happens. I have wasted almost 2GB bandwidth updating my Nvidia driver.

I searched this forum and found many suggestions regarding how to uninstall display driver in safe mode using display driver removal tools and how to install it, but nothing worked.

Please tell me what wrong I have done or please give me some suggestions.

I have never clocked, I never ran any game which would required high graphics.

Your laptop has switchable graphics.
On the desktop, browsing the web, playing solitaire etc.... it will only use the Intel video.
When you start a game or some supported software it will switch to the Nvidia card.
The only way to get it to work is to download the drivers for it directly from the Samsung website.
Installing drivers from Nvidia or Intel will not allow switching of the graphics adapters and will always default to the Intel graphics chip.

Thanks for taking time and answering me. But I think that's not the way it is working.

Nvidia provides NvGpuUtilization under "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Control Panel Client". I started NvGpuUtilization it and then started "Prototype 2 game" but as you stated my GPU should start working but it is not showing any activity.

And ... I had windows 8.1 installed, with latest nvidia driver i week before and everything was working all good.


And one more thing I noticed today, my nvidia control panel is not starting. It says nvcplui has crashed.
