hello all,

I am planing on buying a new graphics card.
my specs are

Intel i5-4590 3.3GHz,
corsair vengeance 8gb ddr3 ram,
Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H,
PSU Seasonic S12II-620 80 Bronze 620W
20" samsung monitor resolution 1600 x 900

I am confused between these two cards nvidia gtx 960 and gtx 970
I will use this new card for at-least 2 years.
gtx 960 have only 2gb vram , is it enough for next gen games?
OR
gtx 970 is more powerful and have 4gb vram.
Is gtx 970 overkill for my 1600 x 900p resolution ?

So, tell me . Which one is most suitable for me?

Thanks in advance :)

If you have the budget, buy the GTX970, or you will always wonder if you should have picked differently.
The GTX970 is simply a stronger gaming graphics card.
Do not worry too much about vram though, 2gb vs. 4gb seems to make little difference.

The GTX 960 will be fine for the Resolution you are using on many games. If you can, aim for the 970, and possible, sometime in the future, up the Res on your monitor, and you will be in love and set for years to come :)

yeah but its a overkill for a 1600x900p

I think ANY GTX960 will be good.
I would look for the lowest priced versions first, they will all perform similarly.
Those with fancy coolers are more expensive because coolers sell.
I do think you get a better chip with the factory overclocked versions, and one is worth a modest premium.
To see the performance differences, compare the boost clocks.
