specs: asus x99 pro
cpu intel 5820k 3.3ghz w/corsair h100i liquid cooler
ddr4 gskill 2666 ram 4x4 quad kit
EVGA GTX 970 SSC 4gb
Samsung ssd 250gb (windows boot drive)
Western Digital 2tb HD for file storage
Seasonic M12 II 750 watt psu
Corsair 760T white case
Windows 8.1 64bit

I am long time AMD gpu user, but with my new x99 build went with new EVGA due to low power requirements, compared to R9 are lot higher. The new 970 had some good benchmarks and comparable to R9. Here lies the problem.

I had no issue with previous amd cards, but after installing latest Nvidia driver it wont allow me to use 1920x1080p. Any of those resolutions, all the corners are un viewable. I can't see time or date, red X to close screens, windows start logo...etc. I found posting from other forum member, but couldn't tell whether screen is zoomed in or not. I have tried the windows monitor setttings and the NVidia control panel. I am using HDMI from gpu, and also am using Vizio HDTV. Isn't PC monitor per say. But it worked all the time on 3 different AMD/ATI gpu's.

Thanks for any help, Steve

yep, I did remove all on amd catalyst and device manager "uninstall", before putting gtx 970 in the case. I installed the latest Nvidia driver 347.09 also.

I can go into Nvidia control panel and resize, but have to resize down to 1804x1026 to see corners. Just thought might of missed something. After the amd gpus installed and driver, windows would give me driver in windows update and would resize and fit perfectly. Never had Nvidia before. Thanks for both your inputs.

Thanks to all, there was only set for pc. But took me to scaling and override option. Enable me to set it to native 1920x1080p. New LG ips coming on Thursday so this is short term fix. I got 5322 valley benchmark score, so didn't want to return gtx 970 . Thanks it took little more than 17 seconds. Little thx to the moderator, play on words.
