hi im wondering is gtx 770 anygood for 1080p gaming and will it bottleneck my cpu much and my cpu is x4 955be @4ghz

Yes and no. On the other hand, your CPU will bottleneck the GTX 770.

The GTX 770 is a brand new graphics card. Of course it will be good for 1080p gaming! If your sig is accurate, the CPU or low amount of ram will likely become the bottleneck in your setup.

well i currently have a hd 6950 1gb and will be getting a 1080p screen so what will be the best gpu for my system then

A HD 7950 should be fine for 1080p gaming. Though the bottleneck still exists, it will be quite small. You can push to a HD 7970 or GTX 670, but you'll get about a 10-15% bottleneck in performance. So may as well just get a HD 7950 and save some money.

Very close. It's based off a stripped down Tahiti LE core, which is used for the HD 7900 series.
