does anybody know if the improvements will be restricted only for 3D goggles (vive/oculus) or is it going to be available for all surrounds?
I assume you're asking about the "Simultaneous Multi-Projection Engine"?
The hardware features are there such that developers who want to utilise them can do so for surround gaming. The big question will be whether any devs actually take the time and effort (=money for them) to properly implement it for surround gaming.
