From my experience dealing with this entire situation and being able to obtain different cards and consoles from different sites, what worries me the most is the fact that there may not actually be a card at all at MSRP because of the lack of an FE variant, which since the tariffs and price changes, has been the only card that is available at MSRP. I wonder which AIB card will be the one that's actually at MSRP since Zotac has seen price hikes up to near MSI levels with partners like PNY following suit and Asus' TUF line is no longer the value pick that it used to be. EVGA Blacks barely exist and may not even be a model for this card. Maybe NVIDIA is really abusing the "suggested" part of Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price.

I really hope more of these cards get in the hands of gamers, they are truly amazing in all aspects from design to performance (particularly the FE models' design), I have been blessed to see them all at work and even help numerous people get their hands on them at close to MSRP. Everyone who wants one should be able to get one and see how well they run games, they're incredible pieces of machinery.

They should list authorized resellers where that is the only place the warranty would be honored. If the AR is gouging, cut them off. That way people can buy through Best Buy (store or online) Newegg, Authorized Amazon or whatever and gougers would be considered used with no warranty.

So glad I was able to get a 3060 TI FE last year, I had decided to wait for either the 3060 or 3050 but then impulse bought the 3060 TI when I saw it in stock. To think I initially regretted spending that much and almost cancelled the order!

Anyway, I hope this crazy situation will be over soon and prices and availability return to normal.

Mining is not going anywhere. That's a simple fact. What does need to be reigned in is scalpers clearing out stock and selling at insane prices. It's a vicious circle. As long as they are allowed to do this, they make money because people are willing to pay such inflated prices. Since they make money, they have more to spare to buy new stock when it is released. And this will keep going into new releases of cards. Until Nvidia and AMD can flood the market with affordable cards, this will persist. Scalpers need to be discouraged and that can be done through their wallet. Refuse to buy a card from a scalper unless you have absolutely no other option. As long as people are willing to pay such inflated prices, this will be the norm for quite some time sadly.

Scalpers will be discouraged if they lose money by having a stack of cards that won't sell.

I was trying to get a 3080 since they were released. A couple of weeks ago I finally gave up and will stick with my 1080. At the original MSRP the cards were expensive, now a 3080 is selling at double the price, a 3090 card is selling for over $2500. Are people really that desperate for a video card to spend $1500+ for a 3080 and $2500+ for a 3090.

If a restaurant offered a premium hamburger that people love for $5, but then raised the price to $10 because of demand, would you stop buying it? No, because $5 isn't a big deal for you, but in many developing countries $5 is a ton of money. Likewise, for people much richer than you, the difference between $750 and $1500 is like $5 & $10 for you. It's completely insignificant.

It has nothing to do with desperation.

I think I'll wait for the next generation of gpus. So that I can afford the previous generation of gpus.

I've been doing that since forever!

Well, it appears that listings have popped up on Newegg and there is in fact one EVGA Black 3060 at MSRP! That's great, but let's see how the supply is looking before we celebrate. I am sure this card isn't getting any of the NVIDIA - Best Buy subsidy treatment so if it sells out quicker than the others, it may not be solely because of demand...
