Also I have OCD in some ways (not real OCD just sometimes, things). So I'm getting the NVIDIA Reference TITAN X Direct. Does NVIDIA have there own overclocking software?

Solution
Nvidia ntune is nvidia's own overclocking software. However I'm not sure if it's been updated in years.

I'd recommend you use MSI afterburner, it's the #1 GPU overclocking software used for all graphics cards.
No, but you can use the software from MSI and EVGA just fine. Titan X isn't designed for overclocking though, and the larger memory space can lower max overclocks compared to the 980Ti. Unless you absolutely need the 12GB vram, I would highly recommend sticking with a 980ti from evga or another major brand (evga does have a hybrid cooler one that should overclock nicely though)

He seems to be using the machine for rendering in which I'm guessing that he needs the extra VRAM.
