Nvidia to Nvidia GPU, what exactly should I do regarding drivers?

Upgrading to a 1050Ti SC 4GB GDDR5 (Single Fan) from a 750Ti. Should I just go into Device Manager and remove the drivers for the 750Ti before installing the 1050Ti? Then when I boot back up, simply go into GeForce Experience and get the drivers? I've never downloaded Driver Removal software and don't feel I need to since I didn't switch brands. Just want some advice for the best way to approach this. I don't want to suddenly see WORSE performance with a better card.

Yeah, remove the device with the option to delete drivers, then just swap cards, boot back up, and install new drivers. Should be fine.

As you said you should be fine with the device manager. First remove gpu drivers and restart your system. If that was succesfull turn off system, remove power cable, install new graphics card and then install drivers for the new card.

I would use a software like driver sweeper (http://www.guru3d.com/content-page/guru3d-driver-sweeper.html). However it is not nessecary.

Since you're upgrading from Nvidia to Nvidia, procedure is quite simple:
1. shutdown system;
2. Change graphics card;
3. Reinstall latest geforce drivers with clean install option.
Done.

I think the GTC1050ti and GTX750ti both use the same driver, the procedure can be even simpler.
Just replace the card and windows will take care of the rest.

If your driver is not current, go to the nvidia web site and download the latest driver.
Consider doing a custom install if you do not use 3d, sound, or do not want GEforce experience to manage things for you.
The clean install option will remove any residual you do not need.

^ and ^^ doesn't always work, 580 to 970 caused BSOD on boot for me, had to reinstall the 580, uninstall the drivers and then swap the cards. Win7.

Cool story: I once swapped brands of the RX 480 and it didn't recognize the card.

I'll just go the safe route and uninstall drivers via Device Manager, restart to confirm they're removed. Shut down, install the new card and go into GeForce Experience and choose clean install. I don't have the current drivers right now, I don't need to get those just to uninstall them do I?

Sure, that's where most get it from and it's the latest version. Also, when you click on it, choose start option restart into Safe Mode (it does that automatically), start the Exe again in Safe Mode and choose the driver brand (Nvidia/AMD/Intel).

I use it for every update, simplest thing in the world. At least due to it being updated regularly and therefore a standardized and established procedure.
