[SOLVED] NVMe 2. shuts down SATA ports

asus rog strix z390-e x4 My manual states that if I set the BIOS to X4 SATA, 1 & 2 will be disabled, but when I moved for X2 too X4 it locked up and stated that 3 & 4 are also disabled. I am confused. I am only using one WD 500 GB 2018 NVME drive and one 1T WD Black HDD. Has the ports disabled changed or are 4 ports disabled now, leaving only 2 SATA available?

With an NVME drive you should be using PCIE mode, according to your manual if the M.2 slot is in PCIE mode no SATA ports are disabled. I'm not even sure if that that drive will work at all in SATA mode.
